Store Listing Alignment
Checked June 27, 2026. This page was compared with the public App Store and Google Play listings. Where a store privacy or data-safety label was visible, it said the developer does not collect user data.
Accurate app behavior: Reference content, decks, study history, widgets, reminders, watch data, and on-device explainer output stay local. The 3-day access window starts locally; Apple App Store or Google Play is contacted only for the optional one-time unlock, restore, or price display. No accounts, ads, analytics, tracking, or developer backend are used.
Privacy policy
Elements is a local-only periodic-table study app. It needs no account, sells no personal data, shows no adverts, and uses no analytics or tracking. The data you create stays on your device, in the app's private storage: your study decks and flashcards, your revision history and spaced-repetition schedule, your starred elements, and your settings.
What we don't collect
We don't collect your name, email, phone number, location, advertising identifiers, contacts, microphone, or usage data. There are no advertising, analytics, attribution, or tracking SDKs.
Purchases
Elements is free to download with 3 days of full access. After that, a single optional one-off purchase unlocks the whole app permanently — there is no subscription, and nothing auto-renews or auto-charges. The App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) handles the purchase; Elements never sees your name, payment card, or billing details. Starting that 3-day access window happens locally on your device and does not create a subscription or charge; the store is contacted only if you choose to buy or restore the unlock.
Network use
Elements works without sending your data to any server — it has none. The whole periodic table ships inside the app, and normal use stays on your device.
On-device features
Spoken element names use your device's built-in text-to-speech (audio output only — no microphone, nothing recorded). The optional explainer, when available, runs on your device using Apple's on-device model and uploads nothing. Apple Watch sync exchanges your progress directly between your iPhone and Watch, never through a server. The Wear OS app uses bundled element data on the watch and does not sync through any developer server or cloud.
Permissions
Any permission is used only for the feature you choose, such as the optional study reminder or the home-screen widget. You can change these in your device settings.
Children
Elements is rated for everyone, contains no objectionable content, and collects no personal information from anyone — including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll post the updated version here and revise the date above.
