Postcard images, recognized text, and OCR results stay on the device. On Android, the bundled Google ML Kit SDK receives limited technical diagnostics and usage metrics, including device and app information, a per-installation identifier, performance, configuration, event, and error information. Google states that this data is encrypted in transit and is not shared with third parties. Postcard Archive's developer does not receive it.
The App Store or Google Play may also be contacted to load a price, complete or restore a purchase, and verify access. This notice supersedes any older statement below that says the app uses no analytics or makes no network request when the map is closed. The English policy controls and contains full details.

Aplikace funguje bez odesílání vašich dat na naše servery a běžné používání zůstává ve vašem zařízení. Jedinou výjimkou je volitelná mapa Pro („Místa“): když je otevřená, načítá dlaždice mapy – na iOS, iPadOS a macOS z Apple Map, na Androidu z OpenStreetMap – a žádá vestavěný geokodér vašeho zařízení (na iOS, iPadOS a macOS od Applu; na Androidu geokodér operačního systému) o převod názvů míst, která jste zadali, na souřadnice. Odesílá se pouze tento text s názvem místa a oblast mapy — žádné obrázky pohlednic, poznámky ani identita — a souřadnice se ukládají do mezipaměti ve vašem zařízení.
