Inquest is free to download with 3 days of full access. Starting that 3-day access window happens locally on your device and does not create a subscription or charge. After the 3 days, a single optional one-time purchase unlocks the whole app permanently — there is no subscription and nothing auto-renews or auto-charges. That purchase or restore action is handled entirely by Apple’s App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) through their own in-app purchase systems. Inquest never sees or receives your name, payment card, or billing details. Apple’s and Google’s handling of the transaction is governed by their own privacy policies.

What you do
- Open the file. Examine evidence at the scene. Read the coroner's report. Every case is fair-play: the solution is always derivable from what you can see.
- Interview the suspects. Pick three questions per suspect from a curated menu.
- Pin your theory. Take notes. Connect clues. Pin the contradiction that breaks an alibi.
- File your report. Name the culprit, the weapon, the place, the motive. Get it right on the first try for the cleanest result.
- Climb the ranks. Constable → Sergeant → Inspector → Chief Inspector → Sherlock.
- Share without spoilers. Compare your solve with friends — your story, not the killer.
