Checked June 30, 2026. This page was compared with the public App Store and Google Play listings. Where a store privacy or data-safety label was visible, it said the developer does not collect user data.
Accurate app behavior: Daily case progress, notes, settings, rating, and streak stay local. Optional Game Center leaderboard submission is handled by Apple, and Android/iOS rating prompts are system-managed. No accounts, ads, analytics, tracking, or developer backend are used.
Effective 2026-06-27
The app saves the following entirely on your device, never sent anywhere:
If you sign in to Game Center, Apple handles the connection — Inquest only writes your solve-time, rating, and streak to your Game Center profile so leaderboards can render. We don't see your Game Center ID or any other Apple account data. Game Center is optional; the app works without it.
No third-party SDKs collect data in this app. The only system-managed SDK present is Google's in-app review prompt on Android (the same Apple "rate this app" sheet on iOS), which lets the operating system show a rating dialog at a player's delight peak. Neither prompt sends gameplay or device data anywhere on the app's behalf.
The app's rating is 12+ due to fictional murder-mystery text content. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
If we ever change this policy, the new version replaces this page and the date at the top updates.
