Who provides Markline
Markline is provided by Rizk Corsight, LLC. It has no user account or developer-operated server for your recovery records. We do not sell your records or use them for advertising. Map and app-store providers process information as described below.
Your local records
Recovery status, dates, notes, photos, settings and downloaded datasheets are stored in the app's local storage. The bundled survey-mark catalog and saved records can be used offline. You can choose to export a backup, save a photo or share a recovery card. The destination you select then receives that content and handles it under its own terms.
Location and maps
With your permission, Markline uses your location to find nearby marks and center the map. You can deny or revoke location access in system settings. Apple Maps supplies maps on Apple platforms; Google Maps supplies them on Android. Online maps involve requests to those providers and may require an internet connection even though the survey catalog is offline.
Google Maps on Android
The Google Maps SDK automatically processes device and SDK metadata, crash information, IP addresses and a Maps-specific pseudonymous identifier. Map camera interactions, including panning and zooming, may also be processed. Google uses this information to operate and improve its services. These provider practices are separate from Markline's locally stored recovery records. See Google's privacy policy and Maps SDK disclosure linked below.
Official datasheets
If you request an official datasheet, Markline contacts the NOAA National Geodetic Survey website using the selected mark's identifier. NOAA receives the normal network request, including its originating IP address. Downloaded datasheets are cached locally. The bundled reference data comes from NOAA NGS public-domain sources. Markline is not affiliated with or endorsed by NOAA or NGS.
Purchases and access
Markline offers three days of full access, followed by an optional one-time unlock for continued access. Starting the local access period does not create a subscription or automatic charge. Apple App Store or Google Play processes payments, refunds and restoration. The app reads product prices and transaction or ownership information needed to manage access, including automatic ownership checks. Rizk Corsight does not receive your payment-card details.
Your choices and deletion
You can edit or delete recovery records in the app. Deletion supports a temporary undo period. Exported files, saved photos and any system or third-party backups must be managed separately. Depending on platform settings, the operating system may manage backups independently. Review location, photo and notification permissions in system settings.
