Nine Steeps is free to download with 3 days of full access. Starting that 3-day access window happens locally on your device and does not create a subscription or charge. After the 3 days, a single optional one-time purchase unlocks the whole app permanently — there is no subscription and nothing auto-renews or auto-charges. That purchase or restore action is handled entirely by Apple’s App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) through their own in-app purchase systems. Nine Steeps never sees or receives your name, payment card, or billing details. The developer receives only anonymous, aggregate sales figures from Apple and Google — never anything tied to you. Apple’s and Google’s handling of the transaction is governed by their own privacy policies.

Accurate app behavior: Tea profiles, timers, tasting notes, cellar entries, reminders, watch/widget state, and settings stay local. The 3-day trial starts locally; Apple App Store or Google Play handles only the optional full-access purchase, restore, refund, receipt, or price display. No accounts, ads, analytics, tracking, or developer backend are used.
Nine Steeps is a local-first tea timer and tasting journal. We do not sell personal data, run ads, use analytics or tracking, or require an account.

Nine Steeps can store tea profiles, brew sessions, tasting notes, cellar inventory entries, app settings, and Full Access purchase status. This data is stored locally on your device.
Nine Steeps starts with a 3-day full-access trial. After the trial, continued full access is available through one in-app purchase. Android purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. Apple purchases are processed by Apple StoreKit.
The app may store purchase status so full access stays available after purchase. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
If you choose to export your library or tasting archive, Android opens the system share sheet and Apple platforms use the system sharing flow. The destination you choose, such as a notes app, email app, cloud drive, or messaging app, handles that exported copy under its own privacy practices.
Nine Steeps does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, or advertising ID access.
Nine Steeps does not include advertising, analytics, attribution, tracking, or crash reporting. Payment processing is handled by Google Play or Apple StoreKit when you choose to make a purchase.
Deleting the app removes its installed app container from that device. Copies can remain in Apple device or iCloud backups, and exported copies remain wherever you saved or shared them. The local preview dates stored in Apple Keychain may survive deletion and reinstallation on the same device or Apple Account. Marketplace purchase history is maintained by Apple or Google. Nine Steeps does not receive or store any of this data on Nine Steeps servers.
Nine Steeps is intended for tea drinkers and is not directed to children under 13.
