ManualNest is free to download with 3 days of full access. Starting that 3-day access window happens locally on your device and does not create a subscription or charge. After the 3 days, a single optional one-time purchase unlocks the whole app permanently — there is no subscription and nothing auto-renews or auto-charges. That purchase or restore action is handled entirely by Apple’s App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) through their own in-app purchase systems. ManualNest never sees or receives your name, payment card, or billing details. The developer receives only anonymous, aggregate sales figures from Apple and Google — never anything tied to you. Apple’s and Google’s handling of the transaction is governed by their own privacy policies.

Store Listing Alignment

Checked June 30, 2026. This page was compared with the public App Store and Google Play listings. Where a store privacy or data-safety label was visible, it said the developer does not collect user data.

Accurate app behavior: Manuals, receipts, warranty dates, maintenance notes, photos, PDFs, scans, local AI/manual parsing output, reminders, backups, and exports stay local. Saved external links open in the browser you choose; store systems handle purchase, restore, refund, receipt, or price display where applicable. No accounts, ads, analytics, tracking, or developer backend are used.

ManualNest is an offline-first app that helps you keep owner manuals, warranty details, receipts, model and serial numbers, parts, and maintenance schedules for the things you own.

The short version. Offline. No account. No tracking. Everything you save stays on your device. ManualNest doesn't include analytics, advertising, or usage reporting. We don't make network calls unless you tap a manual URL you saved yourself.

Data We Collect

ManualNest does not require an account and does not collect personal data on our servers. The app stores all of your data locally on your device. This can include item names, brands, model and serial numbers, rooms, purchase dates, prices, store names, warranty expiry dates, parts notes, filter and battery sizes, maintenance intervals, troubleshooting notes, and any general notes you enter.

Photos, Receipts, and PDFs

If you choose to attach a photo, receipt image, or manual PDF, ManualNest stores it inside the app's private folder on your device. The camera and photo picker are used only for the file you select. These files remain on your device unless you export or share them yourself.

Network Calls

ManualNest does not make network calls in the course of normal use. The only exception is when you tap a manual URL that you yourself saved against an item — opening that link hands off to your device's default browser. That open action is initiated by you and is governed by that browser's privacy practices.

Analytics, Tracking, and Ads

ManualNest does not include third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or cross-app tracking. There is no usage reporting built into the app.

Exports and Sharing

You can export your saved items as JSON. You can also share an item summary as a PDF via your device's share sheet. Any exported or shared file is controlled by you and may contain the item details you entered, including model and serial numbers.

Permissions

If you choose to use camera capture for labels, barcodes, or receipts, ManualNest uses your camera through the system camera app or via your device's standard permission flow. The app does not declare any background data or location permissions.

Children

ManualNest is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
